Dr. Jeff Collum

Speaker | Education Leader | School Safety Expert

Dr. Jeff Collum’s career began on the NFL sideline. As a Lamar University sports medicine intern, he served as a trainer for the Washington Redskins during the 1998 season — an experience that shaped his understanding of high-performance teams and disciplined culture. He traded the football field for the classroom, and never looked back.

With nearly three decades in K-12 education, Dr. Collum has served in virtually every leadership role — teacher, coach, principal, executive director, and superintendent. He led Conway Public Schools and Hallsville ISD, directed secondary education at Tyler ISD, and oversaw bond projects exceeding $100 million. He launched the Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville, one of the largest virtual school networks in the state, and received a 2023 state superintendent of the year nomination.

A recognized authority in school safety, Dr. Collum holds a U.S. Department of Education designation as a School Safety Subject Matter Expert (2024) and has developed safety evaluation frameworks used by campuses and districts across Texas and Arkansas.

He is the author of Life Lessons, a 25-lesson leadership and faith-based reflective guide, and Leaders R.I.S.E., a leadership framework designed for K-12 educators. He is the founder and CEO of TRIAD Consulting, providing strategic planning, leadership development, and safety consulting services to school districts nationwide.

“Discipline Equals Freedom”

Dr. Collum’s personal motto reflects the same principle he learned on the NFL sideline: elite performance is built one disciplined decision at a time.

Triad is proud to announce a new partnership with the Baldwin & Shell Construction Company.

A very well respected, established, and professional company in Arkansas that focuses on Building Relationships.
